About the Designer
Veeram Shah’s visit to the local flea market in Gujarat, where he discovered the most potent pieces of furniture, combined with Sona Reddy’s artistic vision, led to a collaboration that breathed new life into them. Their shared passion for preserving and enhancing the beauty of these objects fuelled a project that aimed to not only restore the furniture but also infuse it with fresh purpose and contemporary relevance.
Product Description
The black chair boasts brass legs and sides, making it a rare and distinctive piece that seamlessly bridges the gap between Art Deco and Modernism design movements. Constructed from solid teak wood and meticulously restored with the addition of brass accents, it exudes both sturdiness and sophistication.
What sets it apart is the captivating upholstery treatment: a patchwork of textiles intricately embellished with machine-embroidered lines. This fresh interpretation of the classic Pierre Jeanneret chairs revitalizes their essence, blending traditional charm with contemporary innovation to create a truly remarkable piece of furniture.
