About the Designer
Veeram Shah’s visit to the local flea market in Gujarat, where he discovered the most potent pieces of furniture, combined with Sona Reddy’s artistic vision, led to a collaboration that breathed new life into them. Their shared passion for preserving and enhancing the beauty of these objects fuelled a project that aimed to not only restore the furniture but also infuse it with fresh purpose and contemporary relevance.
Product Description
An exquisite double-sided swing is a vintage masterpiece, crafted from solid teak wood and adorned with rare porcelain tiles, evoking a unique blend of “Indianness” within its Art Deco inspired design.
Its distinctive appeal lies in the incorporation of raw-edge appliqué fabric scraps in shades of pink, complemented by subtle hints of teal, all elegantly arranged on a pink raw silk base. To add an extra layer of artistry, the fabric is skilfully overlaid with machine-embroidered lines. At the base, a plush solid teal cushion completes this exceptional piece, offering both comfort and timeless aesthetic charm.
