About the Designer
Veeram Shah’s visit to the local flea market in Gujarat, where he discovered the most potent pieces of furniture, combined with Sona Reddy’s artistic vision, led to a collaboration that breathed new life into them. Their shared passion for preserving and enhancing the beauty of these objects fuelled a project that aimed to not only restore the furniture but also infuse it with fresh purpose and contemporary relevance.

The exquisite piece of furniture pays homage to the Victorian era’s rich design heritage while incorporating elements of Indian artistry and culture. The Cabinet is meticulously fashioned from the coveted and now restricted Bombay Blackwood. It proudly boasts a single, exceptional plank that spans a remarkable two feet in width—a testament to its extraordinary craftsmanship and uniqueness, particularly in light of the current unavailability of this rare material. The true highlight of the Cabinet is its mosaic panel shutter adorned with a captivating “swing in a sari” artwork. This unique artwork becomes the focal point of the cabinet, adding a touch of cultural richness and artistic sophistication to your living space.
